George Rodriguez - Central FL, VT, NY

Owner/Lead Certified Instructor, RSO, CCW, Home Defense, Emergency First Aid, Countering the Mass Shooter, Women's Handgun and Self Defense, and Children's Firearm and Safety

     George Rodriguez is the lead instructor for Viking 6 Tactical and brings a wealth of experience to the table, having retired after 22 years as a Vermont State Trooper.  During his time in Law Enforcement, he served as a canine handler and instructor, Drug Task Force member, as well as a vital member and instructor of the Clandestine Lab Entry Team, specializing in hazardous materials and drug enforcement.

 

   His expertise extends beyond Law Enforcement, with 21 years of service in the US Military.  He held key leadership roles, including serving as a Light Infantry Company Commander in Iraq, a Division Liaison for the 82nd Airborne Division and 101st Airborne Division, and Operations Officer in Lethal Targeting in Afghanistan.  Additionally, his extensive experience as an Infantry and firearms instructor at the Army Mountain Warfare School in Vermont underscores his commitment to training and educating others in crucial skills for personal and operational safety.

 

   With a background rich in operational experience, leadership, and firearms expertise, this certified firearms instructor is well-equipped to provide top-notch training and guidance to individuals seeking to enhance their knowledge and proficiency in firearms handling, self-protection and preparedness.

     George is a certified CCW and Home Defenses Instructor, Range Safety Officer, Emergency First Aid Instructor, Countering the Mass Shooter Threat Instructor, Women's Handgun and Self Defense Instructor and Children's Firearm & Safety Fundamentals Instructor. 

USCCA Instructor Jim Bluhm, CCW, Shotgun

Jim Bluhm - Lake, Sumter, Marion County

     Jim Bluhm brings a lifetime of dedication, discipline, and firearms expertise to Viking 6 Tactical. A proud U.S. Navy veteran, Jim served over six years as an M60 Door Gunner on UH-1 Huey helicopters as part of the Ship’s Self-Defense Force, where he gained firsthand experience in tactical operations, precision marksmanship, and team coordination under pressure.

     With over 30 years of experience working with both handguns and long guns, Jim has developed a deep understanding of firearms safety, defensive shooting, and the mindset required to protect oneself and others. As a Certified Instructor specializing in home and personal defense, he combines real-world knowledge with a calm, methodical teaching style that empowers students to build confidence and competence.

     Jim is also a Range Safety Officer and a 25-year member of the National Rifle Association (NRA), reflecting his long-standing commitment to responsible firearm ownership and training excellence.

     At Viking 6 Tactical, Jim plays an essential role in our Critical Incident Response Training Program, sharing his wealth of knowledge to help students prepare for real-world defensive situations with skill, focus, and integrity.

USCCA Instructor Chi Consales, CCW, Womens Shooting

Cigdem "Chi" Consales - Lake, Sumter, Marion County

Certified Instructor, CCW, Home Defense, RSO, Women's Handgun and Self Defense.  

     Cigdem “Chi” Consales is a certified firearms instructor and Range Safety Officer dedicated to empowering women and first-time shooters through safe, practical, and confidence-building training.

 

     With more than 40 years of experience around firearms, Chi provides clear, step-by-step instruction in a supportive and judgment-free environment, helping students feel comfortable while developing real-world self-defense skills. Her approach focuses on building not just technical ability, but the confidence needed to make informed decisions under stress.

     Chi is certified in Concealed Carry & Home Defense Fundamentals and Women’s Handgun & Self-Defense Fundamentals, and she is passionate about helping students leave training feeling capable, prepared, and empowered to protect themselves and their families.

     In addition to her work on the range, Chi brings over 30 years of experience in the IT industry as a corporate strategic financial planner, where she built a reputation for clear communication, structured planning, and guiding people through high-pressure decision-making. She applies that same disciplined, thoughtful approach to firearms training, breaking down complex concepts into simple, actionable steps.

     Through her instruction, Chi is committed to creating a space where women can learn, grow, and take ownership of their personal safety with confidence.

Mike Consales - Lake, Sumter, Marion County

     Michael “Mike” Consales brings decades of real-world experience, discipline, and leadership to every firearms class he teaches. As a retired volunteer firefighter with 22 years of service, Mike understands the importance of safety, preparation, and remaining calm under pressure. Combined with a 35-year career as a mechanic, his attention to detail and hands-on teaching style make him a trusted and approachable instructor for shooters of all experience levels.

     As a certified instructor and Range Safety Officer (RSO), Mike specializes in revolver instruction with a strong focus on safe firearm handling, marksmanship fundamentals, and practical defensive shooting techniques. His classes are designed to create a comfortable learning environment where students can build confidence, improve accuracy, and develop responsible firearm habits.

     Mike’s revolver shooting courses emphasize proper grip, sight alignment, trigger control, loading and unloading procedures, malfunction awareness, and range safety. Whether working with first-time shooters or experienced firearm owners looking to refine their skills, Mike is committed to patient instruction and practical training that students can carry with them both on and off the range.

     Outside the classroom and range, Mike is an avid motorcycle rider who values freedom, responsibility, and continuous learning, qualities that also define his approach to firearms education. Through his instruction, he continues a lifelong tradition of service by helping others become safer, more knowledgeable, and more confident firearm owners.

Firearms Instructor Mac Broich, Vermont

Mac Broich - VT

Instructor

     Mac Andrew Broich is a distinguished veteran who dedicated 32 years to the United States Army, ultimately achieving the rank of Sergeant Major (E9). As a qualified Special Forces Medic, he also excelled as a Communications Sergeant, demonstrating remarkable versatility and a commitment to excellence across various military roles.

     In the wake of the September 11, 2001 attacks, Mac was deployed to Afghanistan, where he played a crucial role in Special Forces operations that demanded both tactical skill and strong leadership. His expertise was further showcased during his time as an Infantry and Firearms Instructor at the US Army Mountain Warfare School in Vermont, where he refined his instructional techniques and imparted his extensive knowledge to the next generation of soldiers. He was instrumental in developing specialized training programs, including an explosive breaching class, a gunfighter pistol/rifle course, and a designated rifleman program focusing on high-angle shooting in mountainous terrain.

     As the Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge (NCOIC) of a Personnel Security Detail (PSD) and a Quick Reaction Force (QRF) Platoon Leader for a Special Forces Unit, Mac led rapid response missions that required quick decision-making and effective action in high-pressure environments during his deployments in Afghanistan. His leadership capabilities were further highlighted during his deployment to Kosovo, where he served as the Brigade Operations Sergeant Major, overseeing critical operations throughout the Afghanistan withdrawal.

     Throughout his military career, Mac accumulated over eight years of experience in various foreign deployments, gaining invaluable insights in diverse environments. He specializes in safe and effective weapons handling, accuracy, and tactical casualty care skills, developed through his roles as both a Special Forces Soldier and an instructor.

     Now retired, Mac Andrew Broich continues to inspire others with his unwavering dedication to service, leadership, and the pursuit of excellence in all areas of life.

Firearms Instructor Daniel Rodriguez, Hawaii

Daniel Rodriguez - VT, HI

Instructor

     Daniel Rodriguez is an experienced firearms instructor and an active-duty Infantryman in the U.S. Army, currently stationed in Hawaii. With real-world military training and expertise, Daniel has honed his skills as an expert pistol, rifle, and machine gunner.

 

   A lifelong shooter and competitive marksman, Daniel brings a deep understanding of firearms handling, marksmanship, and defensive shooting techniques. His passion for teaching and commitment to safety make him a valuable instructor, particularly for new and developing shooters.

 

     Currently, Daniel teaches Basic Pistol Classes in Hawaii, helping students build a strong foundation in firearm safety, marksmanship, and defensive shooting fundamentals. His hands-on approach ensures that every student gains the confidence and skill needed to handle firearms safely and effectively.

 

     Whether on the range or in the classroom, Daniel's dedication to professionalism, precision, and preparedness sets him apart as a highly skilled instructor.
